When you have the pieces for the game but no board to play what do you do? Rapidly design and develop the board using design software and a laser cutter, which is exactly what our students did.

using vector design software, inkscape. and 3d design software, FreeCad, scholars were able to create and upload their Checkerboard and checkerpiece designs to be sent in for production via laser cutter and the ultimaker 3 3d printer. Game time is now on the horizon!
